Temporary Fence at Chapin High School

Aztec installed approximately 80 linear feet of 1-1/2” diameter welded pipe railing with handrails along each side of existing concrete slabs.  Removed existing rip-rap stone as required for the placement of concrete footings.  Placed 1’-0”x2’-6” concrete footings and embedded pipe railing into piers.  Installed new chain link fabric (9 gages) at each side of existing pedestrian bridges’ ramps.  Pedestrian bridges are located at the intersection of Ellerthorpe Ave- Dyer St. and 13th Cavalry St-Chapin High School.  The bridges remained open at all times during repairs.  


  • Scope of Work

    Installed new 1-1/2” diameter pipe (metal) railing. New railing attached and welded to the inside of the existing top railing. Maintained a 2” clear space between existing and new railings. The new fabric met Federal Specifications RR-F-191/1D, and RR-F-191/4D. Removed existing rip-rap stone as required for the placement of concrete footings. Placed 1’-0” x 2’-6” concrete footings and embedded pipe railing into piers. Installed new chain link fabric (9 gages) at each side of existing pedestrian bridges’ ramps.
