AZTEC Contractors, Inc. served as Prime Contractor for this rehabilitation project of Julian Telles Community Center, a property converted as a community space for classes and programming for senior citizens and residents of the area. The project required rehabilitation of 6,149 SF total space, including 8 office spaces, a computer lab, kitchen, conference room, two (2) storage rooms, Women and Men’s restrooms, and a multi-purpose room. Major scopes of work included demolition of existing landscaping, installation of new handicap ramps, 1” overlay pavement over existing pavement, and new system signage and stripping. New landscaping and irrigation system was also provided. Interior work required demolition of existing suspended ceilings, doors and frames, plumbing fixtures, electrical outlets and lighting, and existing windows and storefront. New finishes throughout the entire building included painting, VCT in rooms and corridors, ceramic tile floor and walls in bathrooms, new windows and storefront, suspended accoustical ceiling system, new restroom partitions, new plumbing, and electrical fixtures. A fully handicap accessible unisex restroom was also constructed.
