Experience

  • BS Degree – Preferred BS in Engineering (Civil, Construction Management, Electrical or Mechanical), BA in Business Administration acceptable
  • Proven working experience in project management
  • Proven experience in managing large commercial construction projects

What You'll Do

  • Develop project plan to determine time frame, funding limitations and procedures for accomplishing projects.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of project.
  • Establish work plan and staffing requirements for each phase of project.
  • Confer with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
  • Develop, track and update CPM schedules.
  • Develop, track and update status reports.
  • Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
  • Coordinate project activities with applicable jurisdiction entities (Federal, State or Local Government, etc.).
  • Manage the financial phase of subcontractors associated with project.
  • Assist Project Team with conflicts that pertain to Subcontractors.
  • Review and approve daily reports.
  • Manage project resource allocation, plan, and schedule project timelines.
  • Track project deliverables using Procore and Scheduling tools.
  • Provide direction and support to project team quality assurance.
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the projects to the Project Executives.
  • Provide training and assistance to the project team in technical aspects of the project.
  • Develop and maintain subcontractor relationships to support the project execution.
  • Prepare and maintain construction schedules by diligently working with the superintendent, quality control and safety to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Oversee all superintendents, quality control managers, project engineers and contract administrators.
  • Assist the hiring, setting wages and training of new staff.
  • Review verifies and cost code subcontractor and vendor invoices.
  • Manage all financial aspects of project to include subcontractor payments, change orders, self-perform expenses, purchase orders, etc.
  • Review, confirm and maintain the budget report.
  • Attend new project evaluation interviews and present core values of the company.
  • Primary point of contact for the client in regards the overall project day to-day operations and project performance.
  • Follow communication plan for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep the client and all other shareholders informed of progress and/or project delays.
  • Maintain constant communication with the accounting department about subcontractor payments, receivables, change orders, budget.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials or additional subcontractors as required after initial buyout phase is completed and handed over to the project management department.
